After three weeks, four students from Harold L. Richards have been chosen to view their videos at the competition. The 4 students chosen were Jordan Bass, Raymond Height, Nick Levato, and Shawnnika Williams.

South Suburban College is hosting it’s 11th annual high school video competition. Students in the Broadcasting Television classes had opportunities to submit videos to participate.

“The students have had the entire month of February to shoot and edit the best work of their choosing of 8 categories to submit. Many of the students have worked hard, some more than others and it has been proven by their quality of work produced,” said Television and Film Production teacher Brian Wujcik.

“I wasn’t really expecting to be chosen. Although, I did put a lot of effort and time into my video and lost a huge amount of sleep it all has been worth it in the long run,” says contestant Nick Levato.

The video competition includes eight categories in which students will be competing in. Participants from the surrounding areas of South Suburban have been invited to compete including Richards there will be the following schools such as:

  • Bremen
  • Eisenhower
  • Hillcrest
  • Oak Forest
  • Shepard
  • Southland Prep
  • Thornridge
  • Thornton Township
  • Tinley Park

“Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the competition because I have a ceremony at Tribeca, but I still hope to place. I also hope my other fellow classmates place as well because we’ve all worked hard and deserve it” says participant Raymond Height.
