On Feb. 27, Richards sophomores attended Sophomore Career Day during first and second periods.

Sophomores got a chance to listen to professionals, who were Richards graduates, in the careers they chose.

“At first I thought career day would be boring, but once the speakers started talking about salaries, then I became interested,” said sophomore Jared Smith who attended the occupations of senior business manager and mechanical engineer.

There were plenty of careers being presented, such as security officer, cosmetology, nurse practitioner and more. “I really liked it, I wish we could have visited more careers” said sophomore, Fabian Garcia.

Students were also given a pamphlet from each occupation that gave information on the career such as what type of schooling you need, perks about the job and related fields of work.

“It kind of helped me narrow down my choices on what I want to do with my life after high school”, said Joe Campbell.
