Students and teachers alike have been showing their support this week. This Spirit Week is dedicated to the prevention of bullying, with themes like “we’re tired of bullying” on pajama day, Tuesday, and “being a friend is no sweat” on sweatpants day, Monday.

Wednesday is about “teaming up against bullying” by wearing sports wear. You can find students wearing things like jerseys and shirts with the logos and colors of their favorite teams.

“Spirit Week is about having fun and representing your school,” said Grace Forberg said after being asked what Spirit Week meant to her. She is one of many students who has been participating this week.

Professional sports teams aren’t the only teams being shown today. Students like Xander Maes, a football player here at Richards, have been wearing gear that represents their team.

But students aren’t the only ones showing their spirit this week, teachers like Mrs. Joyce Cruse, have been participating.

“I love that there is an anti-bullying theme, I love the opportunity to look at the issue … I personally love to dress up and I think the themes are clever.” said Mrs. Cruse.
