The computer technology design club is run by Mr. Reczkiewicz and started at the beginning of the school year and is going to run throughout the year. It is held every Tuesday in room 143, starting at 3:25.

The computer technology design club focuses on computer design which goes into many different fields of work. Mr. Rec. says “we discuss and have projects related to topics in website design, engineering design (3D Printing & Laser Engraving) and others related to manufacturing and engineering related careers and in recent years relationships of automation, robotics and manufacturing”.

Mr. Reczkiewicz encourages students to join the club at any time and is open to anyone. It allows students to design and think outside the everyday box to come up with solutions to problems, the main goal of engineering. The club also allows students to see what is done in each of the three engineering courses, from various types of 2D and 3D drawings, architectural drawings and using 3D printers and laser engraving” say Mr. Rec.

For students who are interested in this kind of field or are looking for a good club to join, Mr Rec. says “the club is made of students who are interested in engineering and STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art Math) related careers and ones who take or want to take the three Engineering Drafting/CAD & Design courses we offer at Richards These courses include: #447 – Drafting/CAD I, #448 – Drafting/CAD II, #449 and Drafting/CAD III”

Mr. Reczkiewicz believes computer technology design club is an important part of our everyday lives. “The interesting part of the club/topics is that ideas, concepts and methods are always changing. Ideas & designs used in recent years are always improving as technology moves forward” said Mr. Rec.
