This November, Literary Magazine is introducing the Richards Poetry Slam ran by Mrs. Kristin Tyskiewicz.

“Poetry slam is an event for students to express themselves verbally. This can include poetry reading, story telling, rapping or singing,” says Mrs. Tyskiewicz.

The poetry slam will be taking place on Thursday, November 16th, 2017 from 4-6 in the little theater. Students of all ages are encouraged to attend.

It is free to get in, and representatives for the Literary Magazine will be selling foods and drinks.

Students wishing to know more can talk to Mrs. Tyskiewicz in Room 236. Students should also bring a work sample such as a poem, a short story, etc. The poetry slam is a great way for students to express themselves through many different ways. Come show your support on November 16th!
