Ms. Ruzich, physical education teacher who has practiced yoga for over ten years advises students to practice yoga before taking their final exams.

“I advise students to take a moment for themselves to take a few deep breathes to slow everything down and reduce the heart rate, also to mentally focus so that they’re present while testing,” said Ms. Ruzich.

Ms. Ruzich also advises students on avoiding stress.

“Avoiding stress before testing is to definitely not procrastinate, stay on top of your grades and homework so that all of the pressure comes down to your final exam. Use good time management skills so that their preparing you throughout the week and not cramming it all in. Meditating right before testing and the night before would be great, but I would advise before you even get out of bed to do a mindful meditation to prepare you for your day and to have a positive outlook and energy before test taking,” Ms. Ruzich says.
